Famous Personality

Poet Golam Mustafa:

A Bengali writer and poet. He is known as the poet of Muslim Renaissance in Bengali literature. Golam Mostafa was born in 1897 in village Monoharpur under Shailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah subdivision of Jessore district. His  Father name is Kazi Golam Rabbani, grandfather name is Kazi Golam Sarwar. They were literary-Persian and Arabic scholars. Among his three sons, one is the famous Papetanist and painter Mostafa Monowar and his grandson, Nafis Bin Zafar, a recent Oscar winner Bangladeshi.The contribution of poet Golam Mostafa, the pioneer of Muslim awakening, is a rare example in Bengali literature. This poet's literature talent develops in school life. During this time his 'Ardriyanopal uddhar' poem was published in the magazine "Monthly Mohammadi". When his first poem 'Rokto Rag', published, Rabindranath Tagore congratulated the poet through the two lines of poetry.

Panjushah Fakir:

Panjushah fakir, the Bengali poet, is considered to be superior only after Lalon Fakir. However, Lalon Fakir is not a Guru of Panjushah, but the young man Panjushah sang with the elderly Lalon Fakir. Panjushah was born in Shalekupa village in 1851 (Bangla 1258). His father's name was Khadem Ali Khandaker. Khadem Ali Khandaker lost his zamindari and later with his son Panjushah and Ochimuddin lived in Harishpur village of present-day Harinakunda Upazila. Although Panjushah started Fakiri life living after receiving Kharaka at the end of his life, but he was not a saintly fakir. Paju Shah died at the age of 63, in Bangla 1321, 28th Sraban.

Painter Mustafa Manwar:

A great painter of Bangladesh. His paternal home is in village Monoharpur in Shailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah district. His spontaneous walks in painting, the development of the new industrial artefact in Bangladesh, the unparalleled achievement of the television drama, the art of being the liberal and great teacher of the art, making the `Misuk’ in the second sub-games, and the various plans of the art, including the replica of  the Red Sun in the behind the central Shaheed Minar of Dhaka.
