Welcome to the web portal of Shailakupa upazila. Shailkupa Upazila (Jhenaidah district) area: 373.42 sq km. Location: 23 ° 34 'to 23 ° 46'N North Latitude and 89 ° 07'E 89 ° 23' East Longitude. Boundary: Khoksa and Kumarkhali upazilas on the north, Jhenaidha Sadar and Magura Sadar Upazilas on south, Pangsha and Sreepur (Magura) upazilas on the east, Harinakund and Kushtia sadar upazilas on the west. This upazila consists of one (01) municipality and 14 union parishads. No specific history of the name of this upazila is known. However, in the face of the man, it is known that Masud Khan's love affair with King Haresh Chandra's daughter Shailabala. But as the king did not accept them, both of them were killed in the river of the Shailkupa upazila on the way, King Haresh Chandra's men hacked Masud Khan and Shailabala. In view of this incident, it was named as 'Shailkupa'.

There are several important structures in this upazila. Shailakupa is a unique resource of agriculture, economy, life and social life, culture, archeology, history, education, literature, sports and music. The people of this area are very hospitable and social. Shailkupa Upazila is playing a leading role in providing quick access to public private services to the doorsteps of the people through the maximum use of information technology.
