Shailakupa Public Hall and Library: It was established in 1954. This is a traditional institution of Shailkupar. The library has been burning the lamp of knowledge for the people of Shailakupa for a long time. The library has more than 30000 drawings. The library is open to everyone every morning. Upazila Nirbahi Officer is the ex-officio official of the library. The present general secretary of the library, Mr. Swapan Kumar Bagchi. This library is located on Shailakupa Thana Road.
NM Khan Public Library and Village Hall: In 1936, the NM Khan Public Library and Village Hall was established. The then ICS officer, District Magistrate of Greater Jessore, Mr. Niazi Mohammad Khan (briefly, NM Khan) gave a grant of Tk 2000 for the establishment of the library at the Kancherkol tour. After this money, the historic library building was constructed in 1942. For this reason, he was named after the NM Khan Public Library and Village Hall. There were lots of rare books in the library collection. In the British period, daily newspapers from Calcutta are in the library. The libraries play a special role in spreading the knowledge of the backward areas in Muslim-dominated education. All the young old readers came here to read books and newspapers. The libraries still have special land to spread the lamps of knowledge among the people of this region.
