1971's liberation war has become history of Shailakupa. In the morning of July 1, 1971, the Pak army and the razakars surrounded the village of Sholakupa Police Station, Basantapur, Jaintinagar and small Boalia villages. In search of the freedom fighters, the house was searched for the house. Women get raped without getting anyone. After that they took the people and took the brush. In this 19 people were martyred. More than 20-25 injured. On November 26, they were massacred at Kamna village of Shailkupa upazila. On this day, the Pak army and their associates killed 29 people including 27 freedom fighters.
After the Jinnah Pak army took over, student youths started going to take guerrilla training in India. They returned to the country in July. Counter-attack started on the position of Pak army. In early August, the freedom fighters occupied Shailkupa thana. Several Pak brigades were killed in this war. The freedom fighters set up permanent camps in Abaipur. On 30 August the Pak army and the razakars started advancing to the Aiipur attack. After hearing this news, the freedom fighters crossed the river and took shelter at Alfapur canal. The Pak army crossed the river and the freedom fighters went to Ambus. The war started from 10am to 9pm. About 50 Pak soldiers and razakars were killed in this war.
In the evening of 26 November 1971, 27 freedom fighters were killed in the murderous massacre of Pak occupation force in Kamna village. More than half of the villagers were injured. Chaukas and brave 42 freedom fighters took shelter at Kamanna Madhav Chandra's house from India after training. Their home in Sreepur, Magura Sadar and Shailkupa upazila of Magura. Alamgir of Shailakupa Malithia village and Abubakar of Sripur were among them.
The news of the presence of the freedom fighters quickly went to the army camps of Jhenaidah and Magura in the wake of local razakars. The raiders are equipped with heavy weapons and arms from Jhenaidah and Magura, in the darkness of the night, very close to the position of the freedom fighters. On their feet, leaving their cars far away, suddenly, in the darkness of the night, the invaders suddenly used heavy mortar shells targeting the freedom fighters. Suddenly, the attackers of the road collapsed. The tool has taken control of the enemy. Run counter-attacks. But the sudden release of freedom fighters did not last long in front of them. Many people are stuck in the house. The Pak army killed them. They also demolished the village and set fire on it, and shot Kundu and Rangibi in Phnishabhusa. Many villagers were also injured in their firing. Thousands of people gathered around the neighboring villages after the invaders left the place. On the floor of the house, in the courtyard, the house was scattered in the courtyard of the freedom fighters scattered body. The whole house was red in blood. All the bodies are gathered in one place. On the north side of the Kamna High School playground, a Shaheed Minar is built on the north side of the Kumar River, with 6 people making two and 5 people in three mass graves.
